Hands On Stars (by Zoom) with David Denning

Although the night sky can often seem confusing, this fun approach to natural history using your hands as measuring ‘tools’ is guaranteed to make it a little easier to explore the night sky.

The first portion of this ‘Talk and Walk’ is a ZOOM presentation/discussion where we introduce basic night sky objects and the simple techniques of ‘Hands On’ star watching.

The second portion will be a late evening sky watch where we gather as a group in a dark-sky area to explore the night sky. This second part depends on clear skies, so it is not possible to schedule until a day or two ahead of forecasted clear weather.

For this ‘fun-shop’ (not a workshop), please register by email to NatureSaltSpring@gmail.com . You’ll receive a Zoom link and some useful materials to look over before the Zoom meeting. The event is open only to NSS Members – you can renew or join at the event.
