Birding for Kids and their Families

Birding in the winter? It’s the best! Join us at Xwaaqwu’um, (Burgoyne Provincial Park) on the afternoon of Dec. 3, to see water birds down in the Bay and hawks up in the meadows. Of course, many of our regular species will be out too, even possibly, the spectacular Red-breasted Sapsucker. If birding is new to you and your family, so much the better!

·       When: Sunday, December 3, 1 – 3 pm

·       Where: Xwaaqwu’um, (Burgoyne Provincial Park). At the Outdoor classroom, with the displays of indigenous culture, located beside the upper parking lot and above the Government wharf.

·       What to bring: Warm clothing, boots and binoculars.

·       (Kathleen has 3 pairs of cool kids’ binoculars to lend out!)
